About CrowdCAD
Team
CrowdCAD was created by a team within the Berkeley Medical Reserve Corps. The project brings together operational experience in event medicine (including our own volunteer operations), dispatch workflow insight, software development, and research into how event medical systems function in practice.
Evan Passalacqua
Founder & UX/UI Lead
Evan founded CrowdCAD and designed its UX after thousands of hours of event EMS experience highlighted the need for a fast, organized, and intuitive dispatch interface. He currently manages the platform's ongoing development.
Ivan Zhang
Co-founder & Backend Developer
Ivan is a co-founder of CrowdCAD who developed the backend software and system architecture. He focuses on turning operational requirements into a functional, maintainable web application.
Sophia Levin
Dispatch Operations Lead
Sophia brings event dispatch experience across a wide range of contexts and has contributed significantly to feature development and testing, in addition to building CrowdCAD's training curriculum for new collegiate EMT dispatchers.
Deren Bog
EMS Research Lead
Deren has helped connect the project's design choices to the broader context of event medicine, volunteer EMS, and field operations research. This work helps ensure that CrowdCAD is informed both by practice and by published evidence.
